He is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt, Professional Engineer and Management Consultant with over 26 years of technical and business experience spanning commercial, government, defense, and manufacturing environments. He has served in executive management positions ranging from start-ups through Fortune 500 companies.
His executive management, business and engineering career experience includes serving in VP, CTO, and CEO positions; spanning organizations such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Motorola, LightPath Technologies & nLight Photonics. Some of his clients include Motorola, Intel, Northrop Grumman, Dupont, On Semiconductor, NIST, Department of Defense, Department of Energy and NASA.
His technical expertise and experience includes Semiconductor Industry Front and Back End development and manufacturing, Laser diode engineering and photonics and optoelectronic packaging, fiber-optic based telecommunications, Six Sigma Black-Belt Training and Quality Engineering, Statistical Process Control (SPC), metrology and instrumentation, process development, risk analysis, modeling, and financial engineering.
Joe is passionate and outwardly focused and comfortable interacting and teaming with clients in engineering, manufacturing, marketing, new product development, customer development and relations, and the general business management. He dynamic, results-driven interpersonal skills coupled with his adept communication and presentation capabilities are all used to cross company boundaries and bridge gaps between multiple levels of an organization.
Joe earned his B.S. from Fairfield University in Physics and Mathematics and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Physics from the State University of New York. He holds four patents and over 30 publications. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and is also Market Technicians Association (MTA) Affiliate.
